House Call: Ear Infections

BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - A new study in the journal of Pediatrics breaks down the effectiveness of antibiotics in children experiencing ear infections.

Dr. Seth Sullivan with Baylor, Scott and White Healthcare joined us on First News at Four to talk about the study, and when pediatricians are more likely to give medicine in ear infection patients and why they sometimes don't.

The main finding of the study showed that children with a severely bulging ear drum seemed to benefit the most from getting antibiotics.
