COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) Strong thunderstorms moved through the Brazos Valley, creating high winds, frequent lightning and localized flooding early Sunday, June 4th.
Due to an abundance of tropical moisture, that lightning and thunder jolted many residents of the Brazos Valley awake.
Texas A&M University Meteorology major Trent Spencer spent the night running the ADRAD radar that sits on top of the Eller O&M Building. While there, Spencer caught the incredible lightning over College Station from the viewpoint of 12 stories up.
