KBTX's Food for Families Food Drive

Executive Director for the Brazos Valley food Bank, Inc., Theresa Mangapora joins un on BVTM to discuss KBTX's Food for Families Food Drive happening Wednesday, December 7.

This will be an all day food and fund drive, benefiting the Brazos Valley Food Bank and the local food pantries in the local communities where the satellite drives are located.

This drive will take place in the back parking lot of the Brazos Center in Bryan; That'll be the main location. Satellite locations will be held Mid-South Synergy offices in Navasota, Navasota Valley Electric in Franklin, and Kimbro Convention Center in Madisonville.

The Bryan location will go on from 5:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. All satellite locations will be from 6 a.m. until 7 p.m.

To participate, visit any of the locations. Bring collected non-perishable food items and/or monetary donations. Cash and checks accepted at each location. At The Brazos Center, credit card donations can be processed onsite.

If you can't make it out on Wednesday, Kroger and HEB stores in BCS are selling pre-made food bags at the locations. Purchase the bag while grocery shopping, and leave the bag at the store. The store or food bank will collect the food bag at a later time.

Monetary donations can be made online now through Wednesday at http://www.kbtx.com/kbtxcares/foodforfamilies. Donations made online can be earmarked for the Brazos, Grimes, Madison or Robertson counties.
