In trending news this morning, the star studded cast for the new live-action Lion King movie has been announced, with Queen Bey at the forefront. Also trending, Starbucks has unveiled this year's holiday cups and Walmart announces its shopping season plans.
First up, Beyonce joins the cast of Disney's live-action 'The Lion King.'
She will be the voice of Nala, Simba's childhood friend and later love interest.
The voice cast includes the star power of Donald Glover as Simba, James Earl Jones reprising his role as Mufasa 25 years later, Alfre Woodard as Sarabi, John Oliver as Zazu, and Seth Rogan as Pumbaa. Not to mention Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar and Keegan Michael Key as one of the hyenas. The film opens in July of 2019.
Also trending, Starbucks holiday edition cups are getting more personal this winter. Contrary to last year's plain red cup, this year's cups are designed with open hands holding cups of coffee, with bright holiday scenes. The sleeve says "give good", which is a nod to the company's charitable philosophy.
The cups even leave blank spaces for creativity. Customers can customize them with their own ideas by drawing on the cups themselves.
Lastly, the battle for your holiday shopping list continues and Walmart is pulling out all the stops. The store will host in-store parties and triple its online selection to 60 million items.
In a bid to marry clicks with bricks, the world's largest retailer says if you order online and pick up in the store you can get a discount.
