Lippman Music closing after 32 years

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - The owner of Lippman Music store said he is closing it down after 32 years.

Owner Brian Lippman says lease prices increasing are a factor in the closing, but it's also time for a much needed vacation.

Everything in the store is now on sale.

"It's been a ride to say the least. It's been fun. I've met thousands of musicians and I hope that in someway I've helped them along in their career," said Brian Lippman.

He said the doors will officially be closed on July 1st.

Lippman Music originally announced on Facebook last Friday that they're shutting down. The post read:
"As many of you know - I've been in business here in Bryan/College Station for 32 years. It's been an honor to serve the BCS music scene for so long. We opened in College Station back in 1985 and survived through some crazy times. Time to pursue a little rest and relaxation. Starting today, EVERYTHING in the store is on sale. TOTAL LIQUIDATION! That includes fixtures, shop tools, parts (TONS of parts), new and used gear, vintage guitars. If it’s here, its gotta go. No reasonable offers refused.
Thanks for everything, People - now come buy my stuff!"
