BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - The Brazos Valley chapter of the American Red Cross hosted their centennial ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday as partners, supporters and volunteers celebrated 100 years in the area.
In a press release, the local chapter said that without the support of area and volunteers their continued service would not be possible.
Some of those in attendance of the event spoke on the good deeds the local red cross has done for them. Which surprised and humbled the red cross workers.
"When you work in a non profit like this doing the mission that we do. That really is the part that fills our souls," said Nate Kidwell of the Brazos Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross. "That's our payment."
