Eating Disorder Awareness Week is February 26 through March 4.

There are two upcoming activities to support those with eating disorders and their families.

On Thursday, February 15, Texas A&M University's Nutrition and Dietetic Association is presenting Perfectly Imperfect: Eating, Exercise and Body Image. The presentation features speaker Jenni Schaefer from the Eating Recovery Center in the Woodlands. Dr. Michael will be discussing how to have conversations with loved ones with eating disorders.

That presentation is at the Kleberg building on West Campus in room 115. It starts at 6:30.

Another resource for those fighting eating disorders is a support group that meets the first Monday of every month from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

The group features all ages of people with a range of disorders from anorexia and bulimia to binge eating.

Meeting are informal and welcome to everyone. They gather at the Quilter's Cafe in the CHI St. Joseph Rehab Center.
