COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) – A College Station man is looking for an individual who may have picked up hundreds of dollars that flew out of the back of his truck.

William Heyman, a Marine Scientist in Bryan, says he unintentionally left his wallet on the bed of his truck. He says the contents of his wallet flew out of the truck as he drove north on Highway 6 Tuesday.

Heyman says it happened between WD Fitch and Rock Prairie around mid-day.

“I spent two hours wandering up and down searching for my lost items and I’m certain many BCS residents wondered what I was doing,” said Heyman.

According to Heyman, two samaritans stopped and helped to recover the money.

“One of them, a student at TAMU, kindly chased down and returned $100 to me. The other person that stopped, picked up several bills but drove off, just as I approached him on foot on the highway,” said Heyman.

Now Heyman wants help tracking down the second person he says got away with at least $700 in cash.

“I’m hoping that the kind person that recovered my money would contact KBTX and return it to them with no questions asked,” he said.
