COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - A College Station man was arrested Tuesday night in Northgate for stabbing another man in the arm.

Police say 43-year-old James Tomlin was at the Backyard around 8:00 p.m.

His friend, 34-year-old Silvia Olson, got upset that a taco was taking too long and went back into the kitchen. Staff tried to remove her from the kitchen and then the bar area when Tomlin punched a female employee in the shoulder.

Another man tried to break up the fight and authorities said Tomlin pulled out a knife. The victim then tackled Tomlin to disarm him and Tomlin stabbed him in the arm.

Tomlin is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Olson is charged with criminal trespass for staying in the kitchen and behind the bar.

On Thursday, March 15, Olson contacted KBTX to say she was first assaulted by employees after accidentally walking into the kitchen. She says Tomlin pulled a knife out only after employees first drew a knife. Olson says she plans to file charges against those employees.
