CALDWELL - Hundreds gathered at Burleson County Cowboy church to celebrate 66-year-old Gary Lambert's life. He worked as a sanitation worker in Caldwell.

Lambert died in a work-related accident on Wednesday.
He was riding on a truck, and then fell off. Tragically, the truck driver then accidentally ran Lambert over.

The pastor spoke about Lambert's love of the Lord - and his determination.

"He did everything to his best, and he is going to be hard to be replaced. He's going to be very hard to replace,” said Harvey Abke, Pastor of Burleson County Cowboy Church. “He gave 100 percent in everything he did.”

A friend of Lambert, Donny Walker, shared how Lambert took care of his three-week old baby when he and his wife became ill.

Walker said ever since then, Lambert and his daughter have shared a special bond - eating doughnuts together every Sunday.

Hundreds stood in line to hug his wife Shirley - and tell her the impact her husband had on their lives.
