NAVASOTA, Tex. (KBTX) - Former students of the George Washington Carver High School in Navasota are getting together for a "Mass Class Reunion."
They have a weekend full of event scheduled Friday-Sunday, June 22-24 at the Grimes County Fairgrounds. Any and all alumni and their families are invited to participate.
Friday, June 22
7:00 p.m. - midnight: Family and Friends Night. Admission is free.
Saturday, June 23
6:00-7:00 a.m.: Walk-A-Thon at Carver Community Center
8:00-9:30 a.m.: General meeting. Breakfast included.
11:00 a.m.: Parade from Navasota Intermediate School to Carver Community Center
7:00-9:30 p.m.: Banquet and Program
10:00 p.m.-1:30 a.m.: Dance
Sunday, June 24
11:00 a.m.: Worship Service at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church
The George Washington Carver Alumni Associate is a non-profit organization focused on education. They support after-school tutoring, adult education, and scholarships.
