Overnight fire in San Antonio kills one firefighter, injures two others

SAN ANTONIO, Tex. - One San Antonio firefighter was killed and two others were injured Thursday night while fighting a massive blaze at a shopping mall in San Antonio.

The fire broke out at Ingram Park shopping center just after 9 p.m.

The firefighter that was killed in the blaze has been identified as Scott Deem, a six year veteran of the department.

The other two firefighters were transported to a local hospital, but their conditions were not released. However, San Antonio Fire Chief Charles Hood said both are expected to be alright.

Over 100 firefighters responded to the blaze.
