Police: Intoxicated driver rolled pickup truck on A&M parking lot

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX)- Texas A&M police arrested a man early Saturday morning after he rolled his pickup truck and slammed into a gate on a campus parking lot.

The incident happened around 1:00 a.m. at Parking Area 74 on Olsen Boulevard.

According to a Probable Cause Statement, witnesses said the driver of the pickup truck failed to stop at a stop sign, was driving at an excessive rate of speed, lost control of the vehicle, and rolled the truck onto its side on top of a gate arm.

Police say Tristan Latourette Ross, 21, had an odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and red bloodshot eyes.

The report did not say if anyone was injured in the accident.

Ross was booked into the Brazos County Detention Center on a DWI charge. His bond is set for $5,000.
