Police confirm fraternity member was moved before medics arrived

COLLEGE STATION - College Station police confirm to KBTX that A&M Sigma Nu Anton Gridnev, who died at the fraternity house over the weekend, was moved after he was discovered unconscious by his friends.

Police say they know that the place where Gridnev was discovered by his friends is not the same place where medics treated him, however the reason he was moved remains under investigation.

The 19-year-old had recently moved into the Sigma Nu fraternity house, where he was found unresponsive Saturday morning after a party.

He later died at the hospital from an overdose.

An autopsy is scheduled to be performed.

As police investigated, four men were arrested at the house, each face drug charges.

Three drug citations were also issued to other house members.

Gridnev was a native of Frisco, Texas. According to Heritage High School, Gridnev was a 2015 honor graduate, and a member of their Academic Decathlon team.

The principal of Heritage High School in Frisco, released a statement saying, "Anton had a lasting impact on the teachers who worked with him and he had a bright future ahead of him. Our faculty and staff feels the loss of one of our Coyote family."
