COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX)- Several law enforcement agencies were involved in a manhunt Tuesday night in College Station following a high-speed chase that began in Grimes County.
A spokesman for Texas DPS said a trooper tried stopping the vehicle in Grimes County, and the chase ended in College Station.
There were two people in the fleeing vehicle, said DPS Sgt. Jimmy Morgan.
One person is now in custody and is facing a charge of possession of marijuana. The search continues for the second person, said Sgt. Morgan.
According to several witnesses who have contacted KBTX, several police units were seen posted along Southwest Parkway in College Station near Wellborn Road, Welsh Avenue, and Medina Drive.
The suspects' vehicle was ditched at an apartment complex in the area.
Sgt. Morgan did not have any other details immediately available about the chase or the suspects.
