Renovations begin at Bryan Girl Scout House

BRYAN, Tex (KBTX) Renovations have begun at the Bryan Girl Scout House. On Tuesday, Girl Scouts and members of the Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon ceremony for the demolition.

A two room add-on to a patio area has been causing the foundation and walls to crack because it was built on a slab not designed to carry that much weight. They are also adding ADA capabilities, parking and improving other rooms.

Girl Scouts of Central Texas CEO Lynelle McKay said, "We are really excited that we are going to be able to renovate it and bring all of the needed improvements that we have been wanting to do for years now for our Girl Scouts here in Bryan."

The construction should be finished later this fall.
