Staying safe during a crowded Aggie football season

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - As the Northgate Bar District and other Aggieland hot spots fill up with college students and football fans alike, the Brazos Valley Injury Prevention Coalition is reminding revellers to be safe.

A few suggestions from the safety professionals at BVIPC:

- Plan while you can: designate a driver, order a rideshare vehicle, or use Texas A&M's Carpool

- When walking, never go alone

- Always use the crosswalk appropriately and keep an eye out for vehicles

The Brazos Valley Injury Prevention Coalition is part of the Texas A&M Agrilife Extension and receives funding from the Texas Department of Transportation for programs like these to keep Texans safe.
