BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - We are just ten days into the new year, and a few businesses have already opened their doors in downtown Bryan. As of Tuesday, there is one more new business to add to that list.
Taco Crave is now open for business. The restaurant on North Main Street features Mexican street style tacos.
Owner, David Posadas, says the recipes they use come from taco stands in Mexico.
"It's strictly street style food from Mexico. So, these are things you aren't going to find in restaurants. You are going to find them in either someone's home, or grandma cooks for you, or a taco stand in the middle of the road in Mexico" explained Posadas.
Posadas spent part of his childhood living in Mexico, and the other part living in Bryan. He is the nephew of longtime local restaurateur, Jose Montemayor.
Posadas currently owns a Taco Crave restaurant in Spring, Texas, also.
Taco Crave of course has tacos, but also serves quesadillas, burritos, tortas, and more.
There are over thirteen different meats to choose from.
Taco Crave is located at 308 N. Main Street in Bryan. They are open Monday through Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. They are closed on Sundays.
