Teens arrested in College Station car burglaries

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - Two teenagers were arrested late Sunday night after they were caught burglarizing multiple vehicles in a College Station neighborhood.

Just before 11 p.m. officials responded to the 1100 block of Oney Hervey after a resident said they had seen two men checking door handles on vehicles parked in the area.

When police arrived, they found Anthony Hopkins, 17, and David Blair, 17, attempting to open a car door. Blair tried to run away but was caught after a short chase.

Hopkins and Blair were in possession of a small amount of stolen property. Both were charged with one count each of criminal attempt burglary of a vehicle and burglary of a vehicle. Blair was also charged with evading arrest.
