NOVEMBER 22nd, 2017 - This year's Thanksgiving travel plans look to be good to go across the Brazos Valley, and for that matter across the southern United States.
Relatively quiet weather can be expected with the exception of some chilly temperatures on Thanksgiving morning. If you plan on doing a Turkey Trot 5K in the morning, be sure to bundle up!
Patchy frost is possible by sunrise on Turkey Day with many of us getting into the mid 30s and a few getting close to the freezing mark. Afternoon temperatures should rebound nicely, despite the cold start.
Not only will Thanksgiving day be the perfect opportunity to get outdoors afterwards, but Friday and Saturday will bring pleasant weather to the Brazos Valley. Expect jacket weather in the mornings, but afternoons in the 70s should be just about right for the Holiday weekend.
Whether you plan on traveling or not, airport delays shouldn't be too much of an issue, in sharp contrast to Thanksgiving in recent years.
If you are traveling by air this evening, you're in good shape.
Last, but certainly not least. Have a safe Thanksgiving and enjoy the time with friends and family.
