HUNTSVILLE, Tex. (KBTX) - The City of Huntsville is celebrating the career of Fire Chief Tom Grisham, who retired Wednesday during a special celebration.

He has been with the city for 44 years and started as a volunteer firefighter in 1974.

Under his watch, the city built two new fire houses and bought new equipment as well as an apparatus to keep the fire service updated in the industry.

He is the longest serving member of the department, which has been around for nearly 100 years.

Congratulations on a job well done and a retirement that is well deserved!
