Two Aggies among Fortune Magazine's most powerful Latinas

COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - Two Aggies are among Fortune Magazine's 50 most powerful Latinas of 2017.

Aleida Rios is an A&M chemical engineering major, who now works for BP. The company is one of the world's leading integrated oil and gas companies.

Maria Mejia is an A&M industrial distribution major, who is now the senior vice president of The Kellogg Company.

Fortune's list prioritizes women leading large public companies with significant operating roles.

The magazine says the women also serve as role models and an inspiration to the next generation of women.
