COLLEGE STATION, Tex. (KBTX) - There is still plenty of time to plant vegetables in your garden including peppers, tomatoes, squash, and cucumbers.
When adding transplants to your garden, plant them at the depth the soil was originally in the pot you got the plant in. An exception to this is tomatoes. Tomatoes can grow roots all along the stem. When planting tomatoes remove the lower leaves and plant them deeper.
After planting your vegetables add about a cup of fertilizer solution.
The Howdy Farm on Texas A&M's campus is having their plant sale Saturday, March 31 starting at 8 a.m. The sale will be held in the horticulture and forestry sciences building.
