Christmas season is the time for giving and one local organization is encouraging you to give to some of our most vulnerable residents in the Brazos Valley. Voices for Children is getting ready for their annual fundraiser to support CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).
Every year around the holidays, Voices for Children holds their 12 Days of Christmas Fundraiser. Their goal is to raise $12,000 in the first 12 days of December.
Each year, CASA provides more than 7,500 hours of one-on-one advocacy to abused and neglected children who have been removed from their homes and placed into foster care. More than 750 children have been provided a CASA since they began serving the community in 2001. CASA of Brazos Valley serves Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Madison and Leon counties.
Donations can be made online at vfcbrazos.org. You can also donate and get more information on how to volunteer at the office at 115 N. Main St. in Bryan.
