Weekend Gardener: Spider Mites

By  |

As summer gets closer, you may start to notice your plants turning brown due to spider mites.

Although they are not harmful to people, they can cause a lot of damage to your plants. The arachnids can cause your plant to dry out and turn brown, bite holes in the leaves, and can leave behind a thin webbing.

To get rid of them you can simply take a high powered hose and spray the underside of the plant. There are also some products you can buy, however because they are arachnids some of the insecticides you would usually use may not work.
