Young engineers face off at robotics competition

BRYAN, Tex. (KBTX) - Some young engineers had the chance to show off their work Wednesday morning at Sue Haswell Park in Bryan.

Students from SFA Middle School's Odyssey Academy faced off for a robotic competition that called on the students to create a robot from scratch.

The students tested the robots in the classroom before Wednesday's competition.

They used the underwater creations to retrieve rings in the pool, simulating a deep water situation.

The students have been working with different types of robots throughout the year, including ones that fly and ones on the ground.
