Fayola M. Hunn, 92, of Bryan, passed away Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Madisonville Care Center. Funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan, with Reverend Monsignor John A. McCaffrey officiating.

Faye was born August 5, 1925 in Mud Butte, South Dakota daughter of Albert and Elizabeth Schuelke. Faye had six brothers and six sisters. She graduated from Sturgis, South Dakota schools where she met Tom Hunn. They were married in Sundance, Wyoming on March 25, 1944. They had three children, James, John and Jean.

In 1958 they moved to Comfort, Texas where Tom worked at the Comfort News. In 1960 they moved to Bryan, Texas where Tom opened Bryan Printing Company until 1963. In 1964 she went to work for Bryan Auto Supply in the Accounting office, and was the first female to work there and was there for 23 years until her retirement.

Faye loved her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed bowling and belonged to several leagues. She also liked to travel and she and Tom did often with friends. Later in life, her flower gardens kept her busy.

Faye was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, her parents, and many others. Survivors include her sister-in-law, Kay (Galen) Meirose; sisters, brother and brothers-in-law, McGee Vansickle, Lois McInerney, Mamie (Kenny) Maillous, Jerry Schuelke, and Johnny Padgett; children, James Hunn and wife Shirley, Jean Huffman, John Hunn and wife Nelda; seven grandchildren, Matthew (Jeff) Hunn, Sheila (Ron) Harpe, Jason (Melinda) Collette, Daphne (William) Dowden, Chris (Tracey) Hunn, Michael (Jessica) Nichols, Jeremy (Stephanie) Nichols; fourteen great-grandchildren, fourteen great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their thanks to Madisonville Care Center for the care they gave her in her stay.
