November 8, 1932 - March 3, 2018

Beverly Ann passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the age of 85.

Beverly was born in Bay City, Texas on November 8, 1932 to Clarence Cleveland Todd and Thelma Bernice (Farthing) Todd. Her father was the owner of a family construction company and her mother was a homemaker.

Beverly was the eldest of five children and was able to enjoy the company of her brothers and sisters throughout their growing years and into adulthood. As a young child Beverly developed a love for music, particularly piano and played throughout her life.

At the time she began high school at Stephen F. Austin, the family had relocated to Day Street in Bryan. She graduated in the spring of 1952.

Beverly met the love of her life, Raymond Lee Havel, while she was employed at the Tote-A-Bite Cafe in Downtown Bryan. He was employed driving a truck and became a frequent customer of the cafe. Raymond and Beverly were married in October 1954. The pair were blessed with four children, Kenneth, Gaylon, Andrea and David. Beverly loved her family and was always happiest taking care of them. But her love of family was extended when she became a grandmother. Known to them as "Mimi" she loved cooking for them, helping them in all things and was a wonderful grandparent.

Beverly was a very social person and was good with people. This helped her as she was the manager of Hickory Farms in the mall for over 15 years.

To relax, Beverly enjoyed spending time outside, and especially enjoyed family time camping at Lake Somerville. She also liked working in her yard, and the weekend getaways to Shreveport, LA for time at the casinos.

Beverly was preceded in death by her son, Gaylon Lee Havel.

She leaves behind her husband, Raymond Lee Havel; her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Jane Havel; daughter-in-law, Jeanine Havel; daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Donald Lero; son and daughter-in-law, David and Rhonda Havel, and son, Ronnie Todd. Other family include her sister, Billie Todd Chambers; her brother and sister-in-law, Clarence Jr. (C.C.) and Barbara Todd; and sister and brother-in-law, Nell and Pat Wheeler.

She will be missed by her grandchildren, Brian Duval and wife, Crystal, Ginger Havel, Josh Havel, Matthew Winn, Steven Havel, Madison Havel and Garrett Lero; great-grandchildren, Corinne Duval, Cody White-Havel, Caiden White-Havel, Paisley Grace White-Havel, Allie Winn, Gabriel Winn; and by her beloved cat, Stanley.

The family has planned a visitation on Thursday, March 8 from 5:30-7:30 pm at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan. The funeral will be Friday, March 9, 2018 at 10:00 am also at Hillier Funeral Home of Bryan. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Franklin, Texas.
