Five run 7th inning powers Bombers to 9-1 win in home opener

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -- The Brazos Valley Bombers (3-2) won its home opener Thursday night with a 9-1 win over the Texas Marshals (1-4) at the newly renovated Nutrabolt Stadium.

With the game tied at 1 the Bombers take the lead for good in the 5th with a run and then add five more in the 7th and two more in the 8th to win it.

Michael Mokma picked up the win for the Bombers pitching 7 complete innings. He struck out 4 while giving up 3 hits and 1 unearned run.

Bombers have won two in a row and will step back on the field with the Marshals Friday night at 7:05 pm at Nutrabolt Stadium. After the game the Bombers will have one of their four Firework Friday celebrations at Nutrabolt Stadium.
