HUNTSVILLE, Texas (KBTX) -- A&M Consolidated outscored Whitehouse 28-0 in the third quarter to pull away for a 35-7 5A Division II Bi-District playoff win.

The Tigers led just 7-0 at the half, but turned up the pressure in the third quarter on a defensive touchdown on a scoop and score by Tre Newton, two Daylan Faltysek touchdown runs, and a Faltysek to Brian Darby touchdown pass.

Head coach Lee Fedora said, "We went in and made some adjustments, but I'll tell you we won this game because of our defense. Our defense played outstanding."

Consol took a 7-0 lead in the second quarter on an Aaron Campbell-Love two yard scoring run after Whitehouse snapped the ball over the punters head. He fell on it at the two and the Tigers scored on the next play.

The Tiger defense was dominating all night, only allowing points when the Wildcats scored with eight seconds left in the game.

Consol will advance to the area round to face Hutto next Friday night at 7:30 p.m. at Waller ISD Stadium.
