COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 11 Texas A&M Aggies host the No. 15 UCLA Bruins at Ellis Field on Friday night. The match marks Fish Camp Night, annually one of the most attended collegiate soccer matches in the nation.
“We’re anticipating a great game,” head coach G Guerrieri said. “UCLA is always one of the most talented and best coached teams in the country. It’s a matchup of two of the more storied programs in the nation. It’s going to be great having all of the freshman in the stands attending their first athletic event as Texas A&M students. It creates one of the most exciting and unique atmospheres in collegiate soccer.”
Texas A&M is 1-1-0 on the season, opening the year with a 1-0 loss to No. 1 Florida State before bouncing back with a 4-1 triumph over Rice.
Haley Pounds highlighted the Texas A&M offense last week, registering her second career hat trick and logging a career-high seven points in Sunday’s win against Rice.
UCLA, the 2013 National Champion, enters the fray with a 1-0-0 mark after a 5-0 victory against San Diego State in their opener.
