BVFC claims two golds and a bronze medal at South Texas Cup State Finals

BRYAN, Texas -- Three teams from the Brazos Valley Football Club claimed state honors this past weekend at the South Texas Cup State Finals in San Antonio.

The BVFC BCS United U12 boys team, coached by Arturo Rodriguez Jr. and Sr., won first place in the STYSA South Texas Cup State Finals.

The BVFC BCS United U13 girls team, coached by Arturo Rodriguez Jr., took first place in the STYSA South Texas Cup State Finals.

While the BVFC BCS UNITED U14 boys, coached by Trey Hanover and J.D. Crocker, claimed third place in the STYSA South Texas Cup State Finals.

All three teams went undefeated and took first place in their STYSA South Texas Cup District tournaments two weekends ago in Beaumont to advance to play in the State Finals in San Antonio this last weekend.

The boys U12 team went undefeated in San Antonio to claim the State title with an over all record of 6-0-0.

The girls U13's went undefeated in San Antonio with an overall record of 5-0-1 to claim their title as state champs.

The U14 boys also went undefeated to take third place missing out on a 2nd place finish by only 1 point in their age bracket with an overall record of 2-0-4 tying both the eventual first place team 0-0 and second place team 1-1 in our head to head matchups.
