Bryan/College Station, Texas (June 10, 2017) - The Bombers were walking on pins and needles ever since they took an early 1-0 lead in the first, but got the big hit in the bottom of the 10th off the bat of Dalton Stark to win it over the Generals.

In the 1st, Micheal Helman reached on a error then scored on a Jared Mang double to right-center that made it 1-0.

After the 1st, the pitching staffs took over. Brandon Ivey started for the Bombers and gave Head Coach Trey Porras 6 scoreless innings with 3 H, 1 BB, and 2 Ks before handing over to the bullpen.

Clayton Hill pitched a scoreless inning, Reid Morgan then pitched the 8th and gave up his first earned run since Opening Day to make it 1-1. Chris Cooper then came in and pitched the 9th and 10th.

Ever since the run scored in the 1st, the Bombers bats were shut down by some outstanding Victoria pitching, but broke through with 2 outs in the bottom of the 10th inning. With two strikes Jared Mang reached on a single then advanced to 2nd on a poor throw, that set the stage for Stark. Stark then on an inside fastball drove it up the middle into center field, scoring Mang and winning it in the 10th.

On a night with a full Nutrabolt Stadium and Dance Night presented by Pure Energy Dance Company, Chris Cooper picks up the win in relief and with the victory, the Bombers keep their full game lead in the TCL standings over Acadiana and Victoria drops to being 3-games back.

Saturday night the Bombers concluded their "ten-games in ten-days" stretch and will stay at home after two days of rest to take on the Acadiana Cane Cutters and Texarkana Twins. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05pm Tuesday and you can catch the pre-game show starting at 6:45pm all on Willy 1550, and radioaggieland.com.
