BRYAN, Texas -- The Bombers stretched their win streak to 3 in-a-row, completing the sweep of the Texas Marshals 6-3, on the first FedStar Fireworks Friday of the 2017 season.

During a night where the Bombers honored local law enforcement on Super Hero Night presented by TEEX, and auctioned off the Spiderman jerseys.

Things happened fast for the bombers giving up 3-runs in the 1st inning, all with two outs. But were able to answer back in the 3rd inning.

After three straight walks, the Bombers converted with a 2 RBI ground-rule double from the Nutrabolt Player of the Game Allonte Wingate. Then a few batters later Micheal Helman drove in Wingate with an RBI single to tie the game at 3.

Chase Maddux made his second start of the young season and gave 5 innings of quality work, with 4 K, 2 BB, 3 H, and 0 ER despite 3 runs crossing the plate.

The Bombers bullpen added four more innings of scoreless work to extend their streak to 20 innings now that they have not given up a run and the Marshals defense did the rest. Yes. THREE errors in the 6th inning, two of which came with 2 outs, set the stage for a run to scratch across and then a Dallas Stefano single scored two, making it 6-3 Bombers.

And that is where the score stayed as the Bombers bullpen added 4 more innings of scoreless appearences to push the streak to 20 innings straight where they have yet to give up a run.

The Bombers turn things around and play again tomorrow night at 7:05pm right back at Nutrabolt Stadium against the Texarkana Twins. Pre-game is set for 6:45 on Willy 1550 and on the radioaggieland.com website.
