NAVASOTA, Texas (KBTX) -- Bryan stopped a Navasota two-point conversion attempt in overtime to beat the Rattlers in a 38-37 thriller Friday night.

Xavier Johnson tipped Jeb Malek's pass to Ronnie Jackson in the end zone away after Malek and Jackson had just hooked up on a 25-yard touchdown on the Rattlers first possession of overtime to make it a one point game.

Rattler head coach Patrick Goodman decided to go for the win, but Navasota ended up a point shy.

Navasota (2-3) will travel to Huffman-Hargrave next week to open district play.

Bryan (2-3, 0-1) will hit the road to continue 18-5A play at Waco University.
