COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) -- The College Station Middle School got a 25 yard touchdown pass from Jett Huff to Bacorey Smith with 21 seconds left as CSMS claimed the 8th grade A district championship with a 10-3 win Tuesday.
It was a defensive standoff most of the game. SFA scored first with a late 4th quarter field goal from Enock Gota to take a 3-0 lead.
SFA elected to take a safety late to make it 3-2 and gave the ball back to CSMS with less than a minute to go.
With 21 seconds left, Huff hit Smith with the winning touchdown in the 10-3 final.
CSMS finishes the year 7-1 and SFA 6-2. CSMS' only loss was to SFA earlier in the year.
The SFA 8th grade team finishes their middle school careers with an 18-4 record.
