MILANO, Texas - Classroom Champions, presented by American Momentum Bank.

News 3 Sports would like to congratulate our latest Classroom Champion, Naomi Graham. The Milano High School Senior has a 3.6 GPA, and is currently ranked 5th in her class.

Angelee Jones – Teacher
“The work ethic that she demonstrates infectious. When she's working, others are working; they're helping each other, they feed off of each other. So it is a very positive effect on those around her. Naomi is a natural leader. She steps up and takes control of the situation when she needs to. Whether it's in the classroom, or whether it's on the softball field, or the volleyball court.”

Naomi is a member of the Milano Lady Eagle volleyball and softball teams. In volleyball, she was named the 2015 Defensive MVP, 1st Team All-District in 2014, and made the All-Academic team three years in a row. Last year in softball, she was named Offensive MVP, Team MVP, and was named by All-State Honorable Mention by the Texas Sports Writers Association. She was also named to the 1st Team All-District team in 2015. Outside of sports, Naomi is a member of National Honor Society and One Act Play. She also volunteers with Little Dribblers and Milano Little League.

Amanda Keen – Coach
“She's able to apply herself in the classroom the same way. In the classroom you see her as in the top of the class and she's always wanting to be the best. Ans she always wants to what's next and she doesn't settle for the “B”, she always wants the “A”. Just like on the field; she comes out here and it's not okay if she's missing the ball. She wants to go...give me another one until I get it right.”

Naomi Graham - Student
“I try to lead by example for the most part. But when I fail, I try to help my teammates out and encourage them vocally so they can succeed around me. I've always tried to push myself and try to be the best I can be. Because I've been playing the same sports all through high school, and I just try to get better every year so that I can compete at a higher level.”

After High School, Naomi plans on attending Texas A&M University, and will major in Nursing.

Congratulations to Naomi Graham of Milano High School. This week’s News 3 Sports Classroom Champion!
