Classroom Champion - Ryan Renick - October 29, 2015

IOLA, Texas - Classroom Champions, presented by American Momentum Bank.

News 3 Sports would like to congratulate our latest Classroom Champion, Ryan Renick. The Iola High School Senior has a 3.85 GPA, and is currently the valedictorian of his class.

“He knows that in order to succeed in the world he's going t have to work hard. He has a clear understanding of what's going to b e expected of him outside of the classroom. But in order to practice he brings it to the classroom. No matter what I through at hi me he brings his beast. And I'm always impressed at what I see.”

Darryl - Ryan is a member of the Iola football, baseball, basketball, and track teams. In football, Ryan was an All-State selection as a defensive lineman, and a All-District selection in baseball and basketball. And to add to his list of athletic achievements; Ryan won first place at the 2A Regional track meet in the shot put last season. Academically, he is a member of the National Honor Society, FFA, Band, and Crimestoppers. In his spare time he volunteers in his church an in his community.

A fine young man in the way of character and work ethic. And just basically the complete package; and when you think of that you think Ryan Renick.”

“This award means a lot to me. I've grown up seen all the older kids get it. I've been trying to work in everything I do for as hard as I can...To get better and better, and get to that level where they were and hopefully beyond them and beyond where I should be.”

Darryl - After High School, Ryan plans on attending college and majoring in Pre-Med.
