College Station headed to first State Championship game

HOUSTON, Texas -- The College Station football team beat Austin McCallum 49-21 Saturday night in a Class 5A Division 2 state semifinal game at NRG Stadium. The win sends the Cougars to their first ever state championship game.

College Station quarterback Marquez Perez ran for 93 yards and three touchdowns and threw for 241 yards and two touchdown passes. Cougar running back DaDa Anderson ran for two touchdowns. College Station scored touchdowns on seven of their eight possessions in the game. The Cougars finished with 492 yards of total offense and held McCallum to 294.

College Station will face Aledo in the Class 5A Division 2 State Championship game on December 23. Kick-off is scheduled for 11:00am at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
