COLLEGE STATION, Texas (KBTX) – The College Station girls soccer team wrapped up the CSISD Classic with a 3-1 victory over Clear Lake. Just over one minute into the match, Lauren Puckett found Hailey Daniel on an inside pass. Daniel shot low and wide to notch the first Cougar goal. Three minutes later Daniel fired another rocket. The shot was deflected by the Clear Lake keeper, but she was unable to control it and Olivia Riechman rebonded the ball for the second goal of the match. At the 30 minute mark, Clear Lake got on the board after a through ball set up their attacker in prime position. Kate Hinckley finished out the scoring on a direct from about 30 yards with 14 minutes remaining. With the win, College Station moves to 2-1. Next action is Thursday against Jasper in the Port Neches-Groves tournament.
