College Station to face Fort Bend Marshall in 5A quarterfinal rematch

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -- The College Station Cougars were able to make it back to back playoff wins over Port Neches Groves last week and will step back on the field Saturday afternoon in another rematch of last year's quarterfinal game with Fort Bend Marshall at 1pm at Waller ISD Stadium.

And while the Cougs know what to expect, head coach Steve Huff feels the Buffaloes are throwing the ball better and maybe not relying on the run as much as a year ago.

"Offensively they do a great job in the running game. Great speed to the outside with the jet sweep and quarterback read game," said Huff.

"One thing they are probably doing a little bit more is throwing the ball down field deep. They have the ability with the guys they have to score from anywhere. We've got to slow that down and defensively they are speed everywhere all over the field," wrapped up Huff.

Tickets can be purchased prior to Saturday's game at Waller ISD Stadium on Friday at the College Station High School Athletic ticket office from 7:30am - 1pm inside the Cougar Field House.
