Drive For Five Complete: Bombers win TCL title with walk-off win

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -- The Brazos Valley Bombers claimed a fifth consecutive Texas Collegiate League Championship with a 3-2 win over Acadiana Friday night.

The Bombers won the series 2-0 to win the championship.

Ryan Benavidez delivered a walk-off single to plate Jared Mang in the bottom of the 9th to give the Bombers the win.

Benavidez said, "It means everything for the fans, for the host families, for our coaches, for the players. We've been through so much this summer and I love every single one of these guys. this means the world to me and I know to every single one of those guys and I couldn't be more happy for everybody."

Brazos Valley kept the game tied 2-2 when Dalton Stark threw out a Cane Cutters runner at the plate in the top of the 9th.

Chandler Morris hit a solo home run for the Bombers in the bottom of the 7th to even the game at 2-2 after the Cane Cutters had taken a one-run lead in the top of the inning.
