Helman signs with Twins ending A&M baseball career

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) -- Texas A&M second baseman Michael Helman has made it official that he will not be back with the Aggie baseball team after signing with Minnesota.

The Twins 11th round selection signed Friday with Minnesota.

Helman played one season at A&M after transferring from Hutchinson Community College in Kansas.

Helman was the only Aggie to start every game last season.

He was a second team All SEC selection after hitting .369 with six home runs and 36 runs batted in.
