BRYAN, Texas -- The Adam Corporation and Miramont Country Club are pleased to announce that 369 players have already registered to participate in the “Play Hooky for Harvey” fundraising event (as of October 25). Limited tee times are still available for October 31, November 1 and November 2 by calling the Miramont Golf Shop at 979-361-7220.

The fundraiser allows any golfer to play at Miramont from Monday, October 30 to Thursday, November 2 for a donation of $125 per individual player or $500 for a foursome. All tee times for Monday, October 30 have been booked.

All proceeds will go to One America Appeal (www.oneamericaappeal.org), which is coordinated by the George H. Bush Presidential Library Foundation located in College Station. Its mission is to aid victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Hurricane Irma in Florida. All funds received will be matched by The Adam Corporation and American Momentum Bank and contributed to One America Appeal.

“We are thrilled by the response we have received from participants who want to play at a beautiful and exclusive golf course for a great cause,” said Miramont General Manager Aaron Dawson. “We had hoped to attract at least 400 golfers over the course of four days, and that seems like a strong possibility. I’d encourage anyone who has not yet registered to do so right away. This is a truly once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the public to play at Miramont, and obviously, it is for a great cause.”

Hurricane Harvey, which came ashore on August 25, was the most powerful hurricane to hit Texas in more than 50 years. Hurricane Irma, which hit Florida on September 10, was the most intense Atlantic hurricane to strike the United States since Katrina.

The Adam Corporation has businesses in the states of Texas and Florida and identified One American Appeal as the charitable organization in which to direct its relief efforts. One American Appeal is a joint appeal by all five living former American Presidents (Jimmy Carter, George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama), encouraging citizens to support Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma recovery efforts in both Texas and Florida.

“I can’t thank Mr. and Mrs. Don and Donna Adam and their companies enough for supporting this fundraising effort,” said Dawson. “The Adam family truly has a heart of gold.”

Golfers who are interested in participating in “Play Hooky for Harvey” should contact the Miramont Golf Shop at 979-361-7220. Fees for golf may be made by credit card or debit card upon arrival to Miramont. All players who register through the Golf Shop will receive a confirmation and welcome email, which will provide further instructions and specific details.
