CYPRESS, Texas (KBTX) -- Rockdale held off Yoakum 31-21 Friday night to advance to the 3A Division I state championship.

The Tigers led 28-7 at the half and saw the Bulldogs pull with 28-21 in the fourth quarter on a 38-yard touchdown run by Texas A&M commit Jordan Moore. However Rockdale answered with a long drive, culminated by a 24-yard Luis Iruegas field goal to put the Tigers up by ten with 3:22 to play.

Rockdale will face Brock for the 3A Division I championship Thursday at 3 p.m. at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

Senior quarterback Torry Locklin led the Rockdale attack with three rushing touchdowns of 57, 1, and 64 yards. He also added a 76 yard run that lead to a three-yard touchdown run by JaQuayln Crawford.

Crawford made the defensive play of the game early in the first quarter when he ripped the ball away from Moore inside the Rockdale 10. Moore had already gained 40 yards on the play before the fumble. The Tigers turned it into the second Locklin touchdown to go ahead 14-0.
