SEC Offensive Player of the Week – Tennessee’s Khadija Shaw, a junior forward from Spanish Town, Jamaica, registered eight points on four goals in wins at Belmont and at Middle Tennessee. Shaw recorded Tennessee’s first hat trick since 2011, scoring three goals on three shots in the 3-0 win over Belmont. She added the game-winning goal against Middle Tennessee on Sunday. Shaw leads the team with 6 goals and 12 points this season.
SEC Defensive Player of the Week – South Carolina’s Mikayla Krzeczowski, a sophomore goalkeeper from Douglasville, Ga., recorded 13 saves in leading the Gamecocks to wins at Notre Dame and vs. No. 23 Michigan. She registered a career-high nine saves against the Irish and followed that up with four saves against the Woverines. Her shutout of Notre Dame was her third clean sheet of the year.
SEC Freshman of the Week – South Carolina’s Bianca Galassini, a freshman midfielder from Frankfort, Ill., netted two goals in six minutes in the second half against 23rd-ranked Michigan to spark Carolina’s rally in the final period. She started the second half after not playing a single minute in the first period. The first tally marked Galassini’s first career goal.
