A fire Monday afternoon in the community of Millican destroys a mobile home.

Nobody was home when the fire broke out...but firefighters say 9 dogs died in that fire. Firefighters say they got a call about flames and smoke underneath the trailer.

The fire station is one block away. But by the time volunteers got there flames erupted, engulfing the home.

Traci Greer, the owner of the trailer says the tenants, her son and his wife, lost everything. "all their clothes,all their belongings and there's no insurance to replace it for them......but we have a strong family and can help anyway we can."

Firefighters don't know the cause of the fire and say they may never know for sure.
