There's nothing like a night at the ballpark and here in the Brazos Valley we’re lucky enough to have a team that doesn't cost more than a couple of bucks to see.
"At the end, fun is contagious and that's why we do this. It's fun,” said Uri Geva, owner of the Brazos Valley Bombers.
Geva has owned the Bombers since their inception five years ago. The team is a tribute to the Bryan Bombers, a minor league team that played in same stadium in the 40's and 50's. But this Brazos Valley Bombers team is all about one thing, family fun.
"Sharing memories of the game we all love, there is nothing better than that,” said Geva.
"It's convenient, it's cost effective, and it's good entertainment for the afternoon to bring my nephew and son. It's a good value,” said Keith Przybyla from Navasota.
"You get a chance to be with your family and that's the best thing,” said fan Rudy Escobar.
Escobar brought his family out to the park for a company outing and everybody has their own favorite thing.
"I enjoy just watching the players play,” Escobar said. “The whole idea of coming out here is to watch them play baseball."
"Oh, yeah, we love it! Especially that big thing, Kaboom. Yeah Kaboom,” said cousins Marianna Lovado and Natalie Weber.
And it's those special memories and the enjoyment of fans that keeps Geva motivated.
"To see a family go home and have a great memory that they get to take from our little ballpark and our little moment in their life it's worth every sweat drop and every long night,” said Geva.
The Brazos Valley Bombers, a grand slam for the family on our Brazos Valley Bucket List.
The Bombers have 10 more home games remaining on the schedule. We've got a link to that schedule below.
