Gem of the Day 09/13/11: Guns and Hoses Blood Drive

Tuesday, we went out to the second annual Guns and Hoses Blood Drive in Bryan for First News and Four's Gem of the Day.

Bryan's fire and police departments teamed up for this event. This year they had 40 people donate blood. The donations will stay here locally. They're going to the Blood Center of the Brazos Valley.

And of course there was a friendly competition between the firefighters and police officers. This year, the PD brought in more people to donate so the fire fighters will have to wash a cop car.
