A big effort by Aggies to help out with the wildfires is Wednesday's Gem of the Day on First News at Four.
Originally, students at Texas A&M had chosen to make the Oklahoma State game the "Towel Out, White Out" match-up to raise money for a pair of wildfire relief funds. Now, they've pushed the event back a bit to help raise even more money.
On October 15 when Baylor meets the Aggies at Kyle Field, fans are asked to wear white as a symbol of hope for those in need. To raise money for the American Red Cross of Texas and the Texas Wildfire Relief Fund., maroon 12th Man towels are on sale for three dollars each.
You can log on to http://www.aggiewildfirerelief.com for more information and to buy a maroon towel, whether you're going to the game or not.
We would love to share your good news as our gem of the day.
Just go to http://www.kbtx.com/gemoftheday, or click on the features tab at the page to find it. Leave your gems, and it may be featured on First News at Four.
